Content we own vs content we license
TorqMind is built to stay online and lawsuit-resistant: we ship original guidance, never scraped publisher manuals, and we only show third-party service data after a real commercial license.
What we will not do
- Upload or redistribute scanned repair manuals or publisher PDFs
- Scrape DIY book sites or claim their procedures as ours
- Imply affiliation with automakers or manual publishers we have not licensed
- Promise certified OEM fitment without verifying your VIN and part maker data
How licensed manuals get in
- Sign a commercial API / data license with a workshop-data provider (for example professional aftermarket SI platforms) or an OEM information program.
- Contract must allow redistribution inside TorqMind to paying subscribers. Consumer “personal use” DIY subscriptions are not enough.
- Connect the feed to Pro Manuals with clear source labels. Until then, Pro shows original TorqMind chapters only.
Trademarks & brands
Vehicle makes/models in the garage are used descriptively so you can identify your car. Part checks use TorqMind’s own part-type labels. Third-party brand names that users type are treated as user input — not as an endorsement by those brands.
TorqMind is an independent product and is not sponsored by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer or manual publisher unless a partnership is explicitly announced.
Bottom line
Original software + original educational content + optional licensed feeds = the durable path. Skipping the license and copying books is how products get shut down.
